The hospital Foundation's annual fundraisers help provide grants of financial support for needed medications, equipment, programs and projects for individuals, families and other nonprofit healthcare organizations in our surrounding counties. This support directly impacts the health of those living in our tri-county communities. The following are some recent healthcare needs the Foundation has supported:
- Aid to patients needing immediate assistance for cancer medications, medical supplies or transportation home from their primary care providers or for follow-up treatment.
- Assistance with unexpected healthcare costs for families of critically ill children.
- Education programs, therapy and counseling for domestic violence and substance abuse.
- Funding for health education programs in the public schools.
- Funding for equipment, medications, diagnostic testing and health education programs needed for Free Clinics and Health Departments in Craven, Jones and Pamlico Counties.
- Free diabetes education programs offered at the county Free Clinics and Health Departments.

You may also donate a gift or prize that may be won by those participating in this event. This is an excellent opportunity for our hospital, the hospital's service providers, local businesses and our Foundation to partner and provide mutual support for community health.
