HOW TO APPLY FOR A GRANT

Grant requests for CarolinaEast Foundation will be accepted four times during FY 2011-2012. The third grant request deadline for the fiscal year is March 30, 2012. Grant applications are due in the CarolinaEast Foundation office no later than 5 p.m. Requestors should submit eight (8) copies plus an original (for a total of 9). Past Recipients (this list is not inclusive)

The Hope Clinic received a grant to purchase a new A1C machine, which is used to check long-term blood sugar levels in diabetes patients. Pictured here is a staff member from Hope Clinic, Dr. Dick Hudson, Medical Director, and Lynne Rousseau, Hope Clinic Director.

The Craven County Health Department receives grants from the CarolinaEast Foundation to help women battle Breast and Cervical Cancer. A grant was given to the Health Department to be used for a Breast and Cervical Cancer screening program for women 18-64 years of age who reside in Craven County. Another grant was given to provide colposcopies with biopsies for women with abnormal Pap Smears.

Joni Bass, Interim Executive Director of the CarolinaEast Foundation, said the Foundation is delighted to be able to assist in providing this kind of needed health care support for the Health Department.
