OVERVIEW
The Craven Regional Medical Center Foundation was established in 1996 as a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit foundation. The Foundation extends the gift of wellness to individuals, families and other nonprofit healthcare organizations in Craven, Jones and Pamlico counties by offering financial assistance to help those challenged with unmet health care needs.
Since 1998, the Foundation has awarded over 2 million dollars in grants, assistance and support to local communities throughout the tri-county area. The Craven Regional Medical Center Foundation is run by an independent governing Board of Directors, apart from the CarolinaEast Medical Center, that makes decisions on providing support for unmet healthcare concerns where ever the needs are greatest.
Today’s healthcare needs are constantly changing and the demands on individuals, families and nonprofit health care organizations trying to meet these needs can sometimes be overwhelming. The Craven Regional Medical Center Foundation strives to help meet these needs through funding support and grants for a variety of healthcare concerns and programs.
The Foundation accomplishes its mission with financial assistance it raises through the generosity of community businesses, individual donors, direct mailings, the Foundation’s memorial Named Funds, CRMC Employee Campaign, and through community events like the Health Care Award of Excellence, the holiday season Festival of Trees and Breakfast with Santa.
